We've seen some cool Lego builds recently, such as the Lego Movie 2 editions and, specifically, the Welcome to Apocalypseburg set we undertook ourselves, but they pale in significance to the build created by teenager David Aguilar.
He created his own, fully working Robotic Manufacturer prosthetic arm from Lego and it looks amazing.
Now aged 19, Aguilar has lived his entire life without a right forearm and designed his first, rudimentary prosthetic arm from Lego when he was nine.
However, his bioengineering studies at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Spain have helped him design better versions, leading to the MKIV version he currently sports.
As reported by Reuters, his ultimate ambition is to use his Lego-aided research for the development of affordable prosthetics for others: "I would try to give them a prosthetic, even if it’s for free, to make them feel like a normal person," he said.
Aguilar also has his own YouTube channel, where he documents his several Lego arm builds and other clever technologies designed to make life easier for people with disabilities.
