About This Game

everybody's sad is a a weird, therapeutic, kinetic VR experience about learning to balance self care and care for others. Use intuitive motion and pose-based controls to make sad, alive objects happy! But who will make you happy?

We wanted to provide players with an experimental VR experience that pushes the envelope of what VR games can be. By making players use their voices and bodies in new ways, we provide them with a more immersive experience in which they can discover the delicate balance between caring for others and themselves. Through this game, we wanted to emphasize the importance of balancing caring for others and caring for yourself, as well as innovating what games can do in VR. b4d347fde0

Bug Fixes

  • Changed the effect of the "Charge" battle command to factor in the character's strength in addition to their weapon's strength.
  • Fixed the error that occurred in the Add Resources screen when trying to register a resource with a name identical to an existing resource name except for a difference in capitalization, which resulted in a second resource being added instead of an overwrite confirmation being displayed.
  • Fixed the error that occurred in the Edit Game Data screen when trying to delete or add a command in the character tab after cancelling the character selection box.
  • Fixed the error that occurred in Edit Game Data > Characters > Skills when adding a skill following a skill learned at level 99.
  • Fixed the error related to the speed of battles that occurred when performing a test battle where the "Footsteps until spawn "value (located in Map Settings > Battle Settings) is set to 1.
  • Fixed the damage calculation error relating to the monster’s strength and defense not being correctly factored in when attacking a monster.
  • Fixed the error relating to player movement becoming disabled when both the “brighten/darken screen” event panel has a no wait transition setting and certain other event panels (such as “camera control”) are still running.

  • Fixed the error relating to the “display dialogue” event panel not opening when a nonexistent character image is in use.

Bug Fixes
  • We've fixed an error; in FPS mode, when you place an object which can be passing through (like bridges) close to hills or stairs, the player cannot go through under the objects.
  • We've fixed an error; in 3D battle, if the lead character performs at the end of the turn, the character sometimes goes forward to the edge of the display during selecting the next commands.
  • We've added UTF-8 based 2 bytes letters for the auto-wrapping system. The line feed system for certain languages have been solved.

↑You can edit the source code of the exported game on Unity directly. It’ll be a possibility that you can create a base of your game on SMILE GAME BUILDER and spice it up on Unity. (*We are planning to release game engine source in Unity project to be open source. )

  • We've fixed an error of when deleting preset data such as characters, items, skills or monsters from "Edit Game Data", it shows an error message.
  • We've fixed an error of when you set the decimal point as "," (comma) in the Windows setting, 3D item data cannot be imported properly.
  • We've fixed an error; in the 3D battle setting, characters equip weapons and armors without their 3D models are chosen which gives you an error message when the battle starts.

  • Fixed the bug that occurred when a character with a speed value of 0 tried to escape from a battle.
  • Fixed the bug related to thumbnails for added 3D graphics not displaying correctly in the Add Assets screen.
  • Fixed the bug that caused the editor to not display correctly when a custom desktop magnification size set via Windows display settings was in effect.
  • Fixed the bug related to event editing that caused the display to scroll back to the top when new event panel was added while in the text mode viewer.
