In my opinion this is the tower defense game for people who love tower defense games. It is probably pretty rough for anyone new to the genre, but for people who devour the genre it has so much to love. There is just a ton here. Tons of levels, tons of upgrades, many valid strategies and an endless mode that is a lot of fun.. If you liked the first, you will like this one. About the same difficulty curve: hard if you are a perectionist but most maps you can get threw with some simply strategy. While there is a more robust level up system, enemies and traps are not wildly different with a few exceptions so dont expect a completely new experience. More of the same and in the case, the same is good.. I was at the Point were I wanted to give up. Those stupid Flying Machines were so hard to kill... At the End I found a Way that worked for me. Tbh: After finding out how, the Game started to be too easy. I was rushing almost all Waves... I won't spoiler, but maybe I can encourage some Ppl to not give up.

Overall: A solid TD-Game. The first Game felt better, but it was still nice.. One of the best tower defense games I've ever played. Improves on all aspects of the original. Highly recommended!. It´s a good game for very special gamers, unfortunately not for me.

As soon as you´re strong enough it becomes very repetitive and grindy: You simply build as many traps around the entrance of your enemies as possible, same strategy for each map, lots of slaughter and explosions - it´s warfare. The rest of the map is only used in endless mode, where you have to expand your killing zone. This is a bit more challenging because some of the map designs are really nice, but I never liked endless modes anyway. And the graphics are simply awful.

If you like mass slaughter and don´t care that much for graphics, you´ll probably have a good game. Personally I´d rather play a TD with a varety of challenges instead of grinding for dps all the time. DW 1 was more fun for me.. Even better than the 1st game, more replayability, skill trees, item drops. The item handling could be a bit more comfortable and quicker, but its just awesome. With GemCraft together at the Top of Tower Defense Games!. If you are into TD games this one is a must have!

Awesome sequel dev! :). I've tried hard to like this game but I just think it pales in comparison to the first Dungeon Warfare. The random elements are fun, but the gameplay is utterly crippled by there being too many disruptive mobs.

It was fine when it was just the exploding Dwarves in the last game because you could rebuild your barricades. In this game you not only have to contend with them, but also diggers who straight up cut through the map and make their own routes, mobs with planks that will just build over gaps and moot half your maze unless you have a way to keep breaking their planks, and siege weaponry that will level your barricades just by walking past them.

I wound up putting the game down because at some point there is just no reason to really create a maze anymore. Just rely on floor traps and the one or two chokepoints with unbreakable walls. The random map generator sometimes makes that unbearably stressful to do, too - especially with the cost of barricades to replace the dug out wall tiles and how they can simply be leveled by siege weapons anyways.

My advice for the dev in future games is to minimize the amount of mobs that interact with the environment. There's just too many varied ways the mobs can ruin your maze in this game for it to be fun. I'll stick with the original game instead.

We tried our best to catch up to the scheduled release date, but we simply could not get the game approved for sale in time.
