About This Game

Alteil: Horizons has the structure of a CCG and the flow of a unit tactics game.

Collectible Card Game Structure -- collect cards, build decks and duel either PvP for ELO ranking or in single player adventure mode.
Unit Tactics Game Flow -- Field units with resources, no randomly drawn hands. Units have HP, AT, DF, AGI, RNG and take turns, highest agility first. Pick from the unit’s Action Menu -- Attack, Move, Rest, or use special abilities!

Four Gods sleep under the Kingdoms of Men…harness their power!
It is you who know the truth of this world. You are one of the chosen few who know of the four Ancient Gods – infinite beings forgotten by history. Each god’s Sphere of Influence still permeates this world -- all living things are subconsciously bound to one of them. Tapping into the Spheres of Influence, you summon and command the might of enormous monsters, epic heroes and arcane dragons to defeat your enemies!

Each duel brings new challenges, with the huge amount of cards available, you’ll always be up against strategies that push the limits of Alteil’s various gameplay mechanics – such as the day/night cycle and its effects on undead and lycanthropes, the Soul Card system that lets each player fine tune their Life Point total to better compliment rush or combo play styles, and the Revival system that turns extra copies of a unit in the deck into ‘extra lives’ for that unit on the field. Every match also yields exciting treasure drops, to help you build a vast card collection or just fine-tune and perfect your favorite decks!

for free but optimization sux. As a returning player to this game and someone who spent atleast $300 on it in the past, I can't reccomend this game to anyone. Don't get me wrong, it is a very in depth CCG worthy of awards, but it is wraught with flaws, bugs, and lag. The game itself is amazing, I've never seen so many moves or tactics available in a game, and there are so many cards you will hardly see the same deck twice.

Everyone's problems with the tutorials IMO seems to be from lack of details or understanding the game high learning curve. It took me about 20mins just to finish part 1 because the game moves at a snails pace. I thought the game crashed several times after 3min+ wait times for screen changes. I would click off the game to reload it but nope... it keeps telling me I'm still logged in and I have to wait more than 30mins for that message to go away, or log out of my Laptop User Account to reset it(along with everything else I had open). When it does manage to actually load you are visited by at most 5 people playing the game, and are very experienced to the point that you cant even play a real battle. The battles themself are horribly laggy and can take a few mins for a single turn.

This game(the Horizons version) is just a clone of the original game with a different background, it was Kickstarter funded almost 6 years ago yet was released 1 year ago. This game will very unlikely ever recieve a bugs patch or actually work like a normal game. Combined with its high price tag for cards and learning curve, with lack of players; I cannot reccomend this.. It has improved since the beginning where everything crushed and lagged, but there is still plenty of probelms that ends the game sometimes. The game itself has nothing new on its old version, so I was quite disappointed . This is starting to look like one of these short-lived money-grabing fake revival of classic game = =
Also, FM Draft Rolling Tournement is not working, and I was so excited to get a ticket of it :-(

this game is a fav or mine, for a card game with real straegy that isn't a re-skin of hearthstone theres so many cards here you can come up with a brand new type of deck all yourself and shock everyone

my problem with the old game was getting cards and trying to be a free player im getting back into it and happy to say getting new cards is way easy now and buying cards with money from fighting is really great
if you want to try something new and like card games try this. Tried to play this game several months ago and had issues with the client. Tried again today and it looks like nothing has changed, the client is unusable, half the time it never loads and the other half of the time it crashes as soon as I try and do anything. The game might be fun to play, but no one on steam has any idea, please fix.. game is closed. I really like this game. There are so many things into consideration to make a deck (they are called files in this game) shine, that makes the game experience deep with a lot of possibilities to explore. Also, it is perfectly viable to play competitively without having to pay, with the cards you get for free every day, the ones that you earn just by leveling up, the ones you get for play on the History mode against NPCs, and dueling other players.
