After watching some harsh YouTube reviews I decided to buy this anyway. I'm a super casual Snooker fan, and for me this game provides 99% of the thrills and skills of the game. The mechanics feel perfect, and whilst the option of a practice table is a major miss (as is the create a player) this is a really solid snooker game.. Very poor graphics as for 2019 and this price. In my opinion Snooker 19 is the best snooker game since World Snooker Championship 2005. The three aiming aid levels suit players of all standards. In later editions of the WSC series there was a circle indicating where the cueball would finish, this made the later additions of WSC boring. Back to Snooker 19: online is my favourite mode, I no doubt enjoy the career mode as well. I do think the positional play of the AI needs working on. On hard difficulty the AI seems to run out of position, and miss when you expect them to clear the table. As a lot of people have mentioned the option to choose to start a career with one of the 128 players or create your own character would be great. The player animations could be better, but the developers seem to be good at listening to feedback and updating the game.. Complete waste of money in the state that it is in right now. AI will clear up after a break almost every match. Online does not work at all. Just have a look at the discussions page and see for yourself the amount of NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, which the devs continue to ignore. Save your money or buy Snooker Nation Championship instead. Scummy cash grab of a game.. Good game - will get even better in time. As a life long snooker fan I was delighted to see the return of a fully licensed game. I am sure many of you are looking at the negative reviews and sitting on the fence about buying it. From my own point of view I am very happy with what I have purchased and I would like to address a couple of issues that have been common in many of the negative reviews. The look of the players and animations - I agree with what many have said and I would expect slightly higher quality, however do not let this be the reason for not buying, you are here to focus on playing frames not looking at your opponent thinking wow he looks great! The Price - Yes possibly more than what a lot of people are wanting to pay for a snooker game but I am sure Mr Hearn wanted a fat stack of cash for the licence. The Screen flash between shots - little annoying but you get used to it. No ability to create your own player - I will be disappointed if we never see this but again not a good enough reason to hold off buying. Like many I do believe the game may have come out before it was polished to the standard the devs wanted it but with the world championships in full swing it was a no brainer as far as I am concerned, I am always looking for a Snooker game at this time of year. I feel this is a very solid base with which to build on and I hope the devs continues to tweak and improve what I think is a very good game already (although I am sick of drawing top 16 players in qualifying).. Game really needs a practice mode, and to be honest it seems a bit bizarre that it does not have this basic feature. The tutorial lasts for about a minute and then you're thrown into match play. Would really like the chance to get a hang of things before starting any competitive matches as it would make things a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating.. Best snooker game since Jimmy White whirlwind snooker. Career is fun, plenty of matches and not being able to create you own layer isnu2019t a deal breaker for me. The physics are good, commentary is well done. I found the AI a bit difficult but after practice Iu2019m able to compete.
