game developers keep reintroducing old bugs back into the game. if server is up for more than 2 weeks more bugs kick in. mostly artists that actually just bought graphics packs from other companies and maybe one to 2 programmers that barely have actually programmed. No actual real vision besides money grabs from entire team. Game had potential and then they went the wrong way with everything ignoring all user feedback. They don't have some content shown in preview in game, game crashes a lot when loading and even closing the game.. Feels like WoW but lacks a run-from-localhost single player without considerable efforts. When the game company decides to go under there will be no way to play this game officially.. How do i get a refund for this, its Conan but worse, and theres like NO ONE on it.. Could have been great. Clearly abandoned in its current state. Don't waste your $.. Jesus, the lag. The lack of contextual tutorials. The dumb building areas.
So you start out with nothing. Cool, you start punching a tree. Get branches. Good so far. A little lag, but you're sure it'll even out (it doesn't).
You make an axe and keep harvesting. More branches. Wait, what? You wind up with 200 branches before finally googling how to get logs so you can make the next tool. Ohhh, you right click. The tutorial pops up to tell you all kindds of useless information, but never says anything about harvesting methods.
Now, let's start building the base. But all the areas around the start are built on. So you're forced to start building outside of the starting area, where you'll be forced to fight creatures stronger than any beginner can handle.
But there's no base decay, and members of your faction can't destroy your structures, so your 3 foundations you placed before giving up will still be there weeks from now.
Now, the lag (which is probably why you gave up). I mean... it's rough. I was on an Official server before moving to a private one. Equally laggy. You'll be shooting an enemy when they just start walking in place and no damage markers pop up for a good 2 seconds. In that time, the creature has moved closer to you and eaten half your health away. What YOU see is a creature teleporting to you and half your health just vanishing for no discernible reason.
2\/10 neat game, but too many issues to make it worth the price. Make it $5 and it's good.
