Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition

Oris has launched a new limited edition-Carysfort Reef stainless steel limited edition. The GMT diver's fake watches provides three time zones and supports the non-profit coral restoration foundation in Florida. This is the second Oris Carysfort Reef limited edition we have seen this year. The first is the 18-carat gold Aquis GMT, limited to 50 pieces. At the same time, 2,000 pieces of this new stainless steel version will be provided. It can be found on a matching steel bracelet or bright orange rubber strap.

Currently, corals are rapidly decreasing. According to scientists, the earth has lost 50% of its coral reefs in the past 30 years. This is largely due to human factors. The Coral Repair Foundation is committed to repairing these damaged coral reefs. Since 2014, the organization has been working on the Carisford Reef in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. In this area, the foundation has returned nearly 25,000 corals due to its transplantation plan. This is a long process-it takes 6 to 9 months to restore the coral and requires constant monitoring and cleaning.

The partnership between the Coral Restoration Foundation and Oris started in 2014 as part of the watch company's "Do for Better" campaign. In 2017, the organization and the manufacturer released their first collaboration product, Oris Diving Aquis Date Staghorn Restoration Limited Edition. Taking into account the gold limited edition produced earlier this year, the new stainless steel Oris Carysfort Reef limited edition marks the third watch produced by this collaboration.

The Oris Carysfort Reef Limited Edition is housed in a 43.5 mm multilayer stainless steel case with a screw back cover and screw-in crown. At the same time, the two-way rotating ceramic bezel has a GMT scale and is colored in blue and black (indicating day/night). As expected in the dive replica men watches, due to the use of Super-LumiNova, the hands and divisions are clearly visible, 24/7. The domed sapphire crystal protects the blue gradient dial is also typical, thanks to the internal anti-reflective coating.

At the same time, the dial itself displays many basic diver functions, including the center hands of the hour and minute hands, and the second hand of the lollipop. At the same time, the GMT function allows reading the second time zone. This is indicated by the central hand, which rotates every 24 hours. With the help of the 24-hour chapter ring function of the dial, this time can be read. Finally, the laser-engraved 24-hour scale on the bidirectional rotating bezel provides the wearer with a third time zone.

Powering the model is the automatic Oris 798 movement, which has a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 4 Hz. The movement is based on Sellita's SW330-1, the same as the limited edition 18-carat gold Aquis GMT siblings. As mentioned earlier, the movement provides an instant date for the watch.

The Oris Carysfort Reef limited edition made of stainless steel comes in a special box made of algae, which makes it a sustainable storage option. The watch can be paired with a stainless steel strap or an orange rubber strap. Both options are operated by a stainless steel safety folding clasp with extended functions.oris aquis 43.5 carysfort limited edition

Watches and the Ocean – Introduction to Oris Carisford Reef

At this point, it is not surprising that Oris is passionate about watches and saving the world's oceans. In a conversation with Oris North America CEO VJ Geronimo earlier this summer (see the podcast clip here), we learned that Oris' involvement in environmental protection began in 2009 when the project supported the Great Barrier Reef. Since then, Oris has participated in several marine life and marine conservation foundations, raising funds for these causes while producing limited edition watches. Now, the brand collaborates with the Coral Restoration Foundation and its Carysfort Reef limited edition Aquis.

About the Coral Reef Foundation and Carisford Reef

The Coral Reef Foundation is one of the largest coral reef restoration organizations in the world. Headquartered in Key Largo, Florida, their goal is to reverse the damage caused to the Florida Reef Belt. But why are coral reefs so important? Martha Roesler, Chief Development Officer of the Coral Restoration Foundation, explained: “Although coral reefs cover less than 1% of the earth's surface, they account for 25% of all marine fish species. Coral reefs are important for a healthy ocean. It is a component that provides basic ecosystem services. Over 70% of the earth's oxygen is produced by the ocean. Coral reefs are essential for human survival. It provides support for fisheries that provide protein for billions of people. They form natural Barriers to protect the coastline and infrastructure from wave energy and Storm surge. "fake Richard Mille Watches

Carysfort Reef is one of the most iconic coral reefs in the world. Not only is it the place where the first underwater color photos were taken in the world, but it is also the place where many US presidents have made it a major fishing destination. Unfortunately, the beauty and elegance of the former Carysfort reef has disappeared because it has suffered severe damage and degradation since the 1970s. The Coral Reef Foundation uses underwater nurseries to grow new corals from the debris, grow them to mature, and then replant them into the reef. The foundation hopes to restore Carysfort Reef in the next three years with an area of 91,850 square meters, which covers an area of approximately 17 American football fields.

Oris Aquis Calisford Reef

You may be wondering why the term "Carysfort Reef" sounds familiar. This is not the first time the brand has cooperated with the foundation, or even the first cooperation in 2020. In January this year, Oris launched a limited edition of Carysfort Reef based on 2019 Aquis GMT. This particular model is more unique to the brand because it uses a solid 18k gold case (please check it here). A limited edition of fifty pieces was issued worldwide, three of which were auctioned off, and all funds went to the Coral Reef Foundation. Mr. Geronimo told us in the aforementioned interview with us that the stainless steel version of this swiss fake watches is coming soon... This is the third watch produced by Oris for the Coral Restoration Foundation!
