Krautscape, a game where I drive, fly, and fall into the never ending abyss. If your not into checkpoint races or multi-player and thus like me then do not get this game as that is all the single player really is. I have no idea if the multi-player is alright or not, but what little of the single player I did play was killed for me by having to meet near impossible time trial goals for medals to unlock the next levels. The difficulty with meeting said goals lies with steering the damnable car itslef, which turns a little better then I imagine a lead brick might. Overall I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone unless they really like simple but incredibly frustrating (challenging) control scemes. Also the flying isn't really flying, at best it's gliding with style and only really usuable on tracks where you are meant to use it and only when you are meant to use it. That said my experience only involves the first 1st or 2nd levels of each type of game mode as I just literally could not get passed them so I can't claim any sort of deep knowledge here but perhaps that speaks for itself in a way.. Plays well on my SolydK 64bit install. Worked with an xbox controller and Logitech F310. Even both at the same time! I played split screen with my son. He had the xbox controller and I on the Logitech. We had a blast. Adding flying to the game made it really interesting. You learn where to use it to get ahead.. Super fun, fluid gameplay, nice artstyle. Simple but deep. Car traction is somewhat low, but decent grip. You slide around and are forced to slow down at times, meaning you can't just gas down every track. You have to think and execute.. Krautscape is loads of fun. The multiplayer isn't too populated right now, but nonetheless it is very easy to get in a game with someone else. My favorite part about this game is the local co-op/multiplayer. If you're looking for a game to play with friends and enjoy any type of racing game, I highly recommend picking up Krautscape. It's simple, easy to get into, rewarding to master, and really fun. I'm excited to see what the devs do for the future.. Interesting concept, even if the physics can be a bit simple and frustrating. However, I would only purchase if you intend to play with friends. The game is best with at least 4 players and there's rarely anyone online.
