A former DEA agent moves his family to a quiet town, where he soon tangles with a local meth druglord.
Phil Broker is a former DEA agent who has gone through a crisis after his actions against a biker gang went horribly wrong and it cost the life of his bosses son. He is recently widowed and is left with a 9 year old daughter, Maddy. He decides to quit the turbulent and demanding life of thrill for Maddy's sake and retires to a small town. His daughter fights off a boy who is bullying her at school, and this sets in motion a round of events that end in his direct confrontation with the local Meth drug lord. His past history with the biker gang also enters the arena, making matters more complex. But he has a mission in his mind to protect his daughter and he is ready to pay any cost that it demands.
Action packed pretty much the whole way through, I expected this film to be an average action film, but it really wasn't. It had a good storyline and plot, and the villains/baddies were played by very mean looking actors! The cast is well known, and Jason Statham really does play his role of Phil Broker, the main character well, defeating all the baddies and protecting his 10 year old daughter. I was constantly on edge, wondering what was going to happen, whether he and his daughter would survive these rotten - looking meth druglords. I was satisfied with the ending, glad and relieved that it was a happy one. However, I still think the school counsellor/teacher, Susan Hetch, and Phil Broker, (Jason Statham) should have got together in the end, it would have been a nice end to the film, but overall, I really did enjoy this film, and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of it, a great film, well deserved 9 stars.
This movie is Really GoOD. It seems to draw constant attention and without a doubt seems to grip you into giving just that. With me just the fact that James Franco, Winona Ryder and of course Jason statwhatever is in it guarantees I'm interested. The best part for me was how this movie like Taken...like I said..... grips you into almost instantly. All of the Actors down to the little girl are great in their respective roles. James Franco was Awesome in a different way then I have ever saw, And please "Winona Ryder"!!! What the heck has she been upto??...I've missed her...And the main actor Jason Statham was obviously a perfect pic for his role..you will see.

Sadly I must say its a "watch one-time" Flick, but is still sincerely a must watcher. Ultimately of course, this is Statham’s show, and as always he doesn’t disappoint.
