It is good, but idk.. could be better.. Right out the gate, this is a powerful terain generation tool. Having grass and trees is nice, granted, but the way this makes terrains for you and the tools you have to build\/dig and the fact you can build terrain archways, you can dig, you can basically build an endless terrain is awesome beyond measure, especially for this price.
When you export out the terrain, you can bring it into any modeling program you own, whether it is a free modeling program or a paid one such as LightWave. They are constantly improving the product, so it can only get better. I recommend this to anyone who needs to make terrains for any of their purposes. Personally, I use this for making terrains for my games.
The employees are very friendly and they are very supportive if you have any issues. They are diligently working on enhancements for GeoVox which I totally LOVE, I haven't seen this much effort by developers on products posted to steam that isn't a "green light" beta thing in a long time. This is a real product, live and usable. If you buy it (which I highly recommend) and have any things you wish to have added, just let them know and they can see if it is feasable to do!
You simply can't beat the price for the ability of this program.

. This is the best terrain editor I have ever used. It is simple to use and is truly AAA terrain. I have also used their other software such as AGFPro and I gotta say that also impressed me. You can tell that they put time and quality work into these peices of software. I would reccomend this to all game developers who are looking to have high quality terrain in their game.. First off the software is okay. Personaly I enjoy making my own world during video game production but this software was a strech off of my regular wants while i did enjoy it it did have its confusing parts and not the best graphicts (to be expected) When using it it was of very nice quality and I thoroughly enjoyed it but the inability to export the files from another game engine than unity/AGF did prove to be frustraiting. Regardles it was fairly nice, but I did not enjoy it as well as others might have. Note* if you are looking to make/sell a video game this migh not be the best software as it runs off of unity which requires any orginisation using it making over $100,000 to buy unity, just a tip.. Reminds me of an old program I loved waaaay back when called VistaPro...which allowed you to create terrain and foliage using a very basic computer system...at the time a 486? Love the ease of which you can create your scenery or control to a degree of what is generated. Powerful tool, but unsure how to integrate what is created here to be used in Unity or AGFPro.. This program is not ready to do anything avoid purchase if.
1-If you want a small map with low polys
every map {even the ones with limited map size} will have minimum 600.000 polygons
2- No unity export {at the moment}
If you put a price tag of 37+ Euros, at least have that ready
3- you can only export the terrain to obj
Thats cool, but you will have 2.000 individual ground Obj... 200 grass...600 trees
and to top that of for some reason my OBJs dont have textures so all that i have is
a gray mesh [the no textures issue is maybe my fault]
FBX would help, but its not ready yet.
4-Program may need a more powerful system than the recommended {min requirements}
5-videos look cool, but in the software you dont have that much control if you compare this to Voxel Farm 2015
6-I dont recomend this if you want to do movies in maya {for example},
otherwise if its for games it can work.
Never in my steam life i have reviewed a product\/game, but this software frustrated me so much i just had to do it.
Update *
A}- Once you downloaded the app with the new update you HAVE to create a ACCOUNT and have to sign in [wich open new troubles] ...
B} first if you dont sign theres no GEOVOX, no offline with new update... instead of the unity feature they add a online only app, great.
2} Activation is needed, but activation is not sent to the email for confirmation and there are problem with this right now in the forums.[fixed]
buy the game now and there is a possibility that you will have to wait ACTIVATION from the DEV himself... after waiting response on the forum
8} New Heightmap is buggy and has many problems, also in PNG...not in .raw format
9} Reloading map in the generator makes the program crash sometimes
10}Loading a saved scene can sometimes cause perpetual {loading terrain} thus crash

100% unprofessional product. So I've been using Geovox for a week now, and already seen 2 pretty nice updates. The developers on this are great! I've talked with them about various ideas that might benefit the program, and they were very attentive. Kudos, you guys!
Opening Geovox, it's very nice to be greeted with actual terrain. It really encourages jumping right in and starting "geoforming". It is a very different feel than a heightmap editor. Being able to create tunnels, cliffs, and overhangs feels much more "hands-on".
The huge range of brush sizes, and all the new colors in the latest build are great. Smoothing is a very useful feature, as you can soften the edges of the building blocks or the cuts....err...digs.
I'm still learning the "generator" section, but it allows for fractal-generated terrain. Of course, it's all voxels to, so you can generate an entirely different type of terrain and then go to town on digging it up. Or building on it.
Having a lot of fun with this!
