About This Game

When you're running on battery, make every second count!

Assault Android Cactus+ is an arcade style twin stick shooter set in a vivid sci fi universe. Junior Constable Cactus is outside her pay grade when she responds to a distress call and ends up stranded on a crippled space freighter under attack by its own robot workers.

Utilising a draining battery mechanic in place of lives, Assault Android Cactus challenges you to think fast and keep the bullets flying, blending the gameplay of western styled arena shooters with aspects of Japanese style bullet hell as you charge head first through transforming stages, massive boss battles and an eclectic cast of characters on the way to saving the day.

Key Features

 • 25 stage campaign spread across five areas of the ship, face down giant bosses, earn characters and uncover the story of the Genki Star
 • An all new Campaign+ mode with remixed stages for a fresh challenge
 • Dive into the Infinity Drive to test your skill and endurance or challenge the Daily Drive to pit your wits against the community
 • Supports keyboard or joypad and 1 to 4 players with local co-op

I am not an arcade guy. The destruction feeling was great. I loved the ultimately high tempo and time limit instead of health-bar is an incredible idea. The last boss... Endless tries and finally worth the challenge. Congratulations Aussie mates, waiting for the sequel already .)). ★★★ - [3/5] - Good

Assault Android Catus is a twin-stick shooter where you play as an adorable android who destroys waves of robot enemies and five bosses. The entire story is told with two goofy cutscenes and around fifteen dialogue boxes. Thus, there is just enough of a story to allow for the game to have a goal. Due to this, the gameplay composes the vast majority of the three-hour campaign experience.

In an arcade-like style, you play short, high-intensity levels in which you blast away hundreds of robots. Most of these levels have a unique twist to them, such as rotating floors and moving platforms. Additionally, after completing a set of levels and their final boss you will move onto another set which will have a different aesthetic design. The constant variety in level design, aesthetic, and rapid completion of the levels keep the game consistently engaging. The cherry on top of the great gameplay loop is the energizing soundtrack. Each level is accompanied by a unique song which enhances the excitement and fits the themes and aesthetic design of the game perfectly. There is also a solid amount of worthwhile replayability and additional challenge in the new game plus mode that has fully redesigned enemy waves.

Overall, Assault Android Cactus is a narratively goofy game that has nailed a solid gameplay loop which is greatly enhanced by its invigorating soundtrack.. ★★★ - [3/5] - Good
