I was pretty surprised how much I laughed, and how enjoyable this was. Tackles some issues that not everyone is going to enjoy in a romance game, but I liked it. Also had fun getting the hilariously named achievements.. A present from friend since she's a fan of this game. The game story is nothing special but have been well written. However, evething else have to be improve: the art, the GUI, the system... At least the art here much better than the dev of Serafina's Crown. I'm not recommend it with full price. Plus, I feel that the dev kind of lazy writing and drawing... Maybe if you get it on sale around 11$ would be better.. So this game is excellent in more ways then one, you play as a girl who doesnt have her life together and ends up meeting these pets who are not exactly pets (trying not to spoil) and choosing which one of them you like most throughout the story. I must admit as someone who loves games like this. I struggled quite hard between who i liked most. For me its a battle between the Edmund, Miquel and Frankie

and trust and believe i still cant choose.. You get the false impression at first that the art is too cartoonish. But the the texture of the pictures are much better quality than some visual novels. Also you see a lot more changes in expression than in other visual novels.. i've loved every second of playing this game; there were a lot of moments that made me laugh, and a lot of endearing encounters with each character. it's definitely a favourite. ♥. The storyline keeps not going where the characters have planned, that's pretty amazing. And the dialogues are really good. There's a great interaction amongst the all characters and it doesn't feel unnatural or strange. I'm quite engrossed with this story. I'm going to try mutliple routes, something I rarely do. I usually only play one route (sometimes because there's only one boy I'm interested in), but the characters are all pretty interesting. I like that. No one is really a big bad meanie, no sadistic type (I hate those). These guys are all pretty good guys, with a different personality. Okay Kyle's a bit bad but not in a really bad way, more like a rebel. We all like rebels, right? ;). I absolutely LOVE this game. The writing is fabulous and the characters are so fleshed out. They really feel like legit people not just your typical "otome" trope guys. The diversity between all of them, the details of the time period they're from even the MC and how she acts and looks are so much more unique then in your average visual novel. It's been awhile since I've actually felt so connected and emotional over characters in a vn and it was so refreshing. Each guy and their story is heartwarming and I literally got butterflies in my stomach throughout the game from all the sweet tender moments the MC experiences with each guy. I sincerely hope trainwreck studios does another incredible vn like this because Animal Lover just swept me off my feet and immersed me into the lives of such genuine and lovely characters! <3 <3 <3
