The year is 1979 and Planet Earth is being invaded by alien invaders - Are you up to the challenge of saving mankind?

1979 Invasion Earth has three single player gameplay modes and a Brand New Two Player Battle Mode

Arcade Mode

Relive the bygone days of video games with Arcade Mode.. fun, exciting and damned hard. You start with three lives and you must clear each stage before advancing into different zones.

Skillshot Mode

A gameplay mode where the enemy aliens don't shoot back.. slight snag, to advance stages you must destroy enough of them nasty little alien ufo's.. sounds easy? try challenging.

Survival Mode

You start this gameplay mode with one life and the timer running. Waves increase in intensity every 30 seconds, how long can you survive. Increase your score by shooting pickups, but be aware, it gets harder to see enemy bullets falling whilst your blasting everything in sight.

New !! Two Player Battle Mode

Compete with a friend with this local two player gameplay mode. Three rounds of sharpshooting. Who's the best? Requires a keyboard and a xbox compatible joypad. 7aa9394dea

It is a modern version of the classic game Space Invaders. Game type is the same extremely fun to waste time with the game. and Steam Leaderboards provide a competitive aspect to the game and makes it even more fun.. 2 dollars US ppl are complaing about this game seriously get more happening in your lives. It's entertaining for anyone who just likes to play retro games for a short amount of time.. Love the game, has the nice retro feel to it. A definate for any retro gamer.. Pumping up a classic, synthwave style! The game looks great and it plays very well, though it is an updated version of space invaders, it does play and feel like a classic arcade shooter.. The biggest problem with this game is every time you shoot a ship or a ship shoots one of the "people" it results in a large distorted explosion. Repeated explosions make it difficult<\/span> impossible to see if things are coming at you, particularly missiles that kill you. You can see examples of this in the screenshots. That's on top of the confusing blue background that is nearly the same color as your ship.

I think there was a reason old-school shooters kept the graphics simple with a black background. If the dev cleared up some of the color confusion and get rid of the distortion, it'd be a decent remake of old-school space invaders. Otherwise, it's hard to recommend, even when it's on sale for a decent price.
