DQM x Nike Air Max 90 Bacon Will Release on March 2021

Part of Jordan Brand’s holiday 2020 lineup will include an all-new Air Jordan 12 “Dark Concord” colorway. New Drop Jordans is updating the 1996-silhouette with a detail with much importance in the Jumpman lineage: “Concord.”Air Jordan 12 Retro Concord Dressed in a Black and Dark Concord color scheme.Constructed from genuine suede and faux lizard-print, uppers on the forthcoming pair are clad in “Black.” Mudguards are interrupted by a chrome-finished midfoot accent in the iconic purple hue, just as the top two eyelets. This Air Jordan 12 features a Black upper with Purple contrasting accents throughout, White branding, atop a Black rubber sole.Heel pull tabs and branding on the tongue also indulge in the titular hue, which is most famous for its appearance on the Jordan 11. Carbon fiber tooling visible underfoot deviate from the retro’s overwhelmingly dark color palette with a white and grey arrangement, the former hue also taking over “23” logos on the heel” and text on the tongue.

The Air Jordan 8 Burgundy is a women’s exclusive release that’s part of Jordan Brand’s 2020 Holiday lineup.One of the members included in the assortment is the Air Jordan 8, a classic model that save for its grade school “Pinksicle” colorway that released this Summer, hasn’t really seen much light of day in the new decade.Air Jordan 8 Retro “Burgundy”Dressed in a White, Black, Neutral Grey, and Hyper Blue color scheme.that will soon change as Beaverton has pulled back the sheets on the model’s forthcoming colorway that’s targeted towards their growing women’s audience. This Air Jordan 8 features the iconic chenille fabric patch on the tongue, smooth premium and suede leather, and is draped in rich Burgundy, a color deeply rooted in Jordan Brand history. but it’s highlighted by the burgundy accents that overtly stand out across the ankle buckles, the camo-patterned mudguards, and the furry tongue emblems.

The Nike Air Max 90 Bacon will be returning during the holiday season in celebration the models 30th Anniversary.the famed drops from 2014 by DQM will be making a comeback this March, although it’s not entirely certain if this is a true re-issue or a “2.0” attempt with minor changes.Originally released in 2005, this DQM x Nike Air Max 90 Bacon released in collaboration with now-closed NYC sneaker boutique Dave’s Quality Meat designed to resemble slices of pork belly.Nike had approached the re-release of atmos’ Air Max 1 “Safari” (2016) and both Animal Pack designs (2018) with significant changes, but that wasn’t the case with the “Elephant” retro (2017).The shoe features shades of Red, Pink and Sail constructed with a leather and suede upper.We’ll wait for some more developments, but if you want to learn more about the design of the Bacon Air Max 90, check out our Beyond The Box feature with Dave Ortiz – the NYC-based artist that designed the shoes.
