Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 20's and free once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of daily life: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David's routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which David must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may actually be real.
David Haller is a patient in a mental hospital. He has been there for several years now and life is pretty much uneventful. Then one day a new patient, beautiful Syd, arrives and he is immediately smitten by her. Little does he realise how his life is about to be turned upside and him discover special powers that he never knew he had.
5 episodes of disappointment, bad story, bad characters, bad execution. The Pilot fooled me into thinking that this could have been a show in the waits of "Mr. Robot" with a mix of "X-Men". I been never so wrong in all my TV life. I kept saying that in the next episode the action will begin, but don't. Legion, is so dull, so boring, nothing important happens and you're constantly reminded that David is schizophrenic, and that he is very powerful, but you're never shown of this in a interesting way. All of this seems so fake and unreal. I'm giving up!!! I give one point because of the sequence with the song from Radiohead, and that's all...
I spent my high school and college years trying to find unique films. I found I rather liked David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Darren Arronofsk, etc.. But I have also always been an X-Men fan. This is a super hero show, but it doesn't feel like it. It's artistic, it's clever, it has a great and memorable soundtrack.

It shows that a superhero television show can still have an artistic vibe, can still be aesthetically pleasing with adequate pop culture references in music, character names, or location names.

The characters are interesting and have an interesting dynamic. A sense of seriousness is felt but isn't pushed upon you. David is powerful, dangerous, but at the same time is confused and afraid. Dan Stevens acting is phenomenal. His speech patterns, mannerisms, and overall presentation of character convey confusion, distrust. The rest of the cast is also fantastic.

We get some closure at the end of season 1, but I cannot wait for season 2.
