Best friends Emily and Lesley go on a road trip to the desert. When Emily decides to get off the highway and take a "short cut," they become the target of a relentless and psychotic trucker who forces them to play a deadly game of cat and mouse.
Two beautiful young women taking a trip through the countryside, are terrorized by an unknown driver trying to run them down in a heavy duty tow truck.
The production of this movie is horrible... The girls go crazy before anything really scary is close to happen. The mustang is V8 5.0 and has trouble outrunning an old truck.. even the European 4cylinder bad version would outrun that truck.and after the truck hits the car there are no damages on it. And the girls get angry at the truck driver when they can easily overpass him... To make this movie better the editing needs improving and the girls needs a better reason to go ballistic. They also make a wrong turn because some GPS stopped working.... In 2015 there is GPS in the car and on the girls phones... There are so many holes in the story that is impossible to fill them
So a lot of people have commented on the bad acting, the unbelievable speeds at which the truck drives, and the predictability of the murder. I want to touch on a few other things that just don't make sense.

First, the diner scene. Why did they leave the heavily populated diner with the fairly friendly waitress? I know the girl made a slightly psychotic scene, but as a female, I can tell you I would have NEVER left that diner if I were that scared for my life. So blondie causes a scene and the waitress asks her to leave. So don't. If she had refused to leave, they would have eventually had to get in touch with police for her trespassing, even if no one believed her crazy truck driver story. Plus, no one in the diner was weird or threatening. It would be different if they left because the diner patrons had all seemed to be "in on it," which actually would have been a good plot opportunity.

Next, why do they keep driving in the same direction as the truck driver? He continually drives WAY ahead of them and then stops and waits for them. So why didn't they just turn around and go back to the main highway where their cell phones worked? (Don't even get me started on their cell phones not working for hundreds of miles. Ugh)

Finally, the officer stops her and all she can say is "there's a tow truck after me!" You mean, in all these stops, all the times he's turned the truck around waiting for you, and all the times he's slowly driven up to you, you never got a license plate #? It was there. It was one of the first things I noticed.

I can usually take a crappy horror movie for what it is, but this is insulting to the viewer. The viewer has no sympathy for the characters because if they really missed all these simple key things to save their lives, then they are too dumb to care about. If you haven't seen this, don't bother. It will just make you mad.
