West and Gordon work to escort Draja, a Bosnian count, to Washington for extradition. A disguised Gordon takes his place on the train, while West and the real Draja take a back route to keep the count from recovering a hidden stash of gold. They soon find a gang of reward-seeking vigilantes on their trail, while Gordon's cover is threatened by the appearance of an old friend of the count.

*Trivia/location/goofs- Air date 12-8-67. Takes place in Yuma Az territory. Many exterior rocky locations were at Vaquez Rocks, a Los Angeles county park near Aqua Dulce, CA. Mr. Conrad's short stature/height for a leading man (5'7") was compensated for with shoe 'lifts' in his boots, casting short stunt people, and short leading ladies. In fact his show was known for needing so many short stature love-interest roles for women among females actresses, it became a staple for actresses in Hollywood.

*Emotion- I was entertained but not impressed by the 'Eastern European badman' scenario plot line. Mark Lenard's performance set the bar extremely high on the guest star lead villain's performance. He sounded like he was doing a "dracula' knock-off parody. And what was with that metal hand? Too clichéd for me.....Many time villain roles fail to deliver enough 'gravitas' to balance with the strong leads of Conrad and Martin. The inclusion of Mr. Martin's lookalike for the European nobleman bad guy was a nice twist and spiced-up the drama. This is a mediocre W3 episode to experience.
