About This Game

"Tales of Escape" is a series of 6 person multiplayer escape room adventures for virtual reality or desktop pc! Gather your friends and choose a story to play! Fight against the clock to solve the puzzles and get out of the room as fast as possible or take your time to experience a unique story each time.

Mine

In 1964 the black rock mine in Yokon was closed due to a landslide, people and gold were lost forever inside it. The legend says that the miners trapped inside protect the gold ever since as “living-dead”. Many have tried to retrieve the gold, but none have succeeded. After many attempts you manage to find an old corridor that descends into the depths of the mine, but a landslide trapped you inside. Your only hope is to get the old elevator working, find a way to get out quickly because oxygen is running low!

IT CAN BE SCARY BUT THE GAME IS A GOOD ESCAPE ROOM. Fun game! Especially for those who enjoy solving puzzles. It's great to play with a friend, and makes it fun to work together. I really hope they expand on this game and I wish there were more games out there like this. This is a fun game to buy!. Ok so let me be frank here with you, this so called "puzzle game" has no real depth to it
unlike other puzzle games there is no logic in some puzzles allow me to explain and this will spoil
a puzzle so be warned.

In the game you have to unlock a lock that has a password you get the password on a toolbox
and you get a clue but the clue is so vague that they might as well could've left it out
anyways you have to guess the code so the developer thought like this: Clue > Guess > Solve
which is NOT how you do a puzzle in any way, shape or form who is this idiot that thought this was
a good idea, I mean have they ever played a puzzle game or is this just an insult to puzzle lovers?
You build puzzles on logic and a clue that shows you HOW to solve it not directly of course
but not to misguide you either.
The clue was that the number (for us) was a red 2 but that could mean ANY number of things
no pun intended.

The graphics of the game is how everyone else (with a brain) is describing it; very annoying
everything is super dark and with such a bright glare on everything that it would put any polished surface to shame, I mean serisouly it's hard to tell things to a friend when you can't even freaking see it and
I don't know how many screen tearings or picture jumpings I saw but more enough to know
that if you are going to play this in VR make sure to take your motion sickness pills because you are
in for a h*ll of a ride.

The controls are... well... low budget; basically no controls at all you can look around and click on things, ENJOY!

With only 1 level to play out 4 that will cost you ~5 euros each (which is hefty price)
this isn't much of a game to stick into your game library, I mean yes the game is free
but suffer from many things that could be considered a 'fraud' by todays standards.

To sum everything up this COULD be game that you want and are looking for
that is not out of the question however are you willing to pay for more stuff
and cope with the losses when the game developers looks the other way
with a look that says: "We will not fix anything or make anymore updates on this game"
that's up to you, your wallet or wife to argue about.
. While the first room was pretty interesting, they are scamming you out of your money for having all the participant pay for the DLC. Totally not worth the money for such a small game.. Tried to play it with friends, crashed and froze to often for me to recommend. Really fun and has a couple good scare moments. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying out VR for a very refined experience that forces you to really use your brain to solve clues. The graphics could use a small amount of finishing, there are explosions where the bomb detonation animation is on par, the sound is decent, and then all that happens is some rocks that were in your way dissappear. No smoke, no fire, no 3d particles to dodge, just ::poof::! Also some of the clues should be made to change slightly from game to game so that you can enjoy replaying them more times over and over. But for a free escape room, this rivals being better than many games that I have paid for. Also the DLCs being around 5 and 6 bucks for entire additional levels is very fair, as the levels are large and complex. I haven't even tried playing online yet where you can do the levels as a team but I watched a youtube video of it and it seems to be implemented decently. I look forward to seeing what new levels they come up with in the future and hope more people give this a go. It is definitely worth your time and absolutley worth a try at the low low price of free. But it was free so I can;t complain. :). Pretty cool concept! Thumbs up because it has potential.... I love escape rooms irl and after playing some I went searching for video games like this. Most I have found have been singleplayer experiences which, for me, misses the point, so I am very much liking this! The game lasts just short of an hour which is what I am used to for these kinds of games, the puzzles can be tricky but as with irl ones, this is largely dependent on the player.. Pretty cool concept! Thumbs up because it has potential...

Since the release of "The Mine" some of you have been having problems with networking, it seems that sometimes players couldn't see each other after starting a room, this should now be fixed. If you are still experiencing issues with the latest update, please let us know with as much detail as you can (if possible, please provide instructions of how to replicate the bug).

Here is a list of changes:

• Multiplayer player location issues should be fixed.
  
• Desktop - Mouse cursor now recaptures properly when closing the option menu.
  
• Chosen language now get saved when closing/reopening the game.
  
• Changes to lobby UI.

Tales of Escape: Cold As Ice is an escape room adventure-puzzle game you can play with your friends, even if only some of you have a Vive (or none!).
