Need more games in this FPS Tower Defence Genre.....Co-op is were its @!!!. This game has a ton of updates and new free stuff added every couple months. It also has AAA graphics and co-op or single-user game play for the price of an indie puzzle game -- on sale. Lots of replayability on the few maps it comes with, and (though somewhat controversial) the new maps and weapons released as DLC are a lot of fresh fun that I feel are worth the cost. The DLC weapons can be used by you in games that your friends may not have them, which helps keep your load outs unique to eachother, and they're cheap if you ever want to add on. Those complaining of this model are forgetting how much replayable game you are already getting for the base price of 9.99. The extra stuff is just sprinkles and doughnuts. Play it with your friends or alone, it's a great mesh of tower defense and varied, upgradable gunplay. Simply stunning game.. This game is actualy awesome and i refuse to say anything bad about it.. A great TD game - better than Sanctum 2.
It's cheap, runs well, looks pretty. FPS play works very well in the game to keep the action going.
It's also very cool to play with other people, I've gone hours on survival mode with my friends.

The game has a lot of content going for it already, but then there's also the free DLCs and the really cheap ones (they go down to $0.99 on sale).

I find the game is better than Sanctum 2 - the game just feels better. It really has polish, and I felt Sanctum 2 kind of lacked that; as a result, it's a funner game. You don't have to level up for perks, (the grind is removed entirely) and there isn't pressure to be constantly firing at all times.

I also see much better FPS in this game than in Sanctum 2, even when I turn down the graphics to low. The game ends up looking worse than Sanctum 1 but still doesn't run as well.

There are a lot of really cool towers in this game too, and the lack of a wall limit (which was an odd decision for Sanctum 2 that further distanced it from a TD game) lets you be much more inventive with the game.

Past that, Sanctum is really a good game. For fans of TD, FPS, and messing around with their friends, Sanctum is a game for you.. The best tower defense game I've ever played, period – and I've played well over a dozen. Seamless integration of FPS gameplay with impeccable TD mechanics. Tons of ways to create mazes, many effective tower/weapon combinations, great mix of satisfying combat and strategic planning. Unique enemies, beautiful art style and AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SOUNDTRACK!. Sanctum is a Tower Defense game which allows for a first person shooter perspective. Released in 2011, graphically it doesn't look bad at all. The object of the game is to lay blocks and outfit them with varying weaponry to direct the path of your enemy waves, lay down suppressive fire and take out as many enemies as possible, and have a varied amount of weapons as each wave has different enemies who have resistences to certain types of damage. Once you have done this, you go into initiate a wave, use your own personal first person shooter weapons and assist the towers with defeating waves before they reach your core. At the end of each wave you are given a number of resources which can be spent on upgrades both to the towers as well as your personal weapons.

I've played several tower defense games, but this one let's you get down in there and add a personal touch to defense, by combining the FPS experience with more traditional tower defense features. While I enjoyed Sanctum, I look forward to seeing what happens next in the series and how they upgrade our experience to another level. Sanctum features single player mode, a variety of different levels each with their own geography and challenges, as well as multiplayer mode. I recommend going through the tutorial phase, so you really get an understanding of what the weapons and enemies are capable of before diving right into the main game.. Way better than the sequel. Can be reasonably completed single player. Lots of interesting weapons, maps, and enemies.. Audience: ]===

Singleplayer: Yes. A nice combination of tower defence and fps. Many options when preparing strategy for each level makes it replayable and challenging. Would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys having to plan ahead, wrong strategy and the level will be over sooner than you'd like. I speak from experience.
