Anbuchelvan is part of a group of four officers who work for a special squad of plainclothes officers battling organized crime in Chennai. Violent and laconic, he finds little patience for a personal life, until he turns hero in the eyes of dotty schoolteacher Maya, and embarks on a little romance. Meanwhile, his squad kills the brother of a reckless criminal Pandiyan, but fails to wipe off the entire gang. Pandiyan's boys then take the battle into the homes of the officers, going after their family members one by one.
Chennai-based ACP Anbuselvan works together with a team of anti-narcotics officers and with the help of an informer virtually bring drug-dealing to an end. He is dedicated and believes being involved with anyone romantically may endanger her life, but changes his mind after he meets with Maya. Unknown to the entire unit, the informer was working for a gangster, who wanted all competition eliminated, and thus reign as the king of the underworld. Then Anbuselvan's world will be shattered when he and some of his team will be suspended for their involvement in the killing of a gangster, the brother of Pandiyan, while the latter vows that he will not rest until he has killed the entire team and their respective families.
After watching it multiple times, Kaakha Kaakha has become one of my favorite movies of all time. The movie is about an important chapter in the life of a sincere police officer. It is a story of dedication towards his job, love, and ultimately sacrifice, told through a gripping screenplay. What makes this movie a masterpiece? There are many reasons for that.

The characterization of lead characters, Suriya, Jyothika, and Jeevan, is brilliant. You connect with them instantly. Suriya portrayed the character of a police officer very well. He is very good in action scenes. Jyothika, as Maya, is gorgeous. The introduction song of Maya, along with it's lyrics, is one of the best introductions of a character I have seen. Her mesmerizing expressions, beauty, and acting are a huge asset to the movie.

The music, both songs and background, are very well composed. The songs are well shot as well. They are properly timed and integrated with the plot, so they enhance the overall experience. The movie surprisingly starts with a song, Uririn Uriye. The song's lyrics and drama in it takes us into the zone immediately.

Finally, the screenplay is very good. The overall execution of the plot is perfect by the director, Gautam Menon. The plot is very realistic, in a way that there is no sugar-coating in the end. The writer is very clear in his message about the sacrifices a police officer at the level of Suriya's character has to make.

Overall, it is a well put together movie and I recommend people to watch it. It will touch you and will become a part of your life in a way (may be I am exaggerating too much.. :P). The movie is so realistic about an IPS officer. With the story line of an IPS officer who does stylish encounter. His passion is IPS and bachelor without any worries. He falls in love with with a beauty. A IPS officer who is not at all having any personal life how he is reacting to his lady of love its beautiful.

The action part was stylish. Scene revolving around IPS officers were really clear, class and energetic. The clash between the IPS officers and the villains has exciting moments. Director made great combo by mixing sensational romance with revenge based action. How Anbuselvan love is affecting him and how his profession is affecting his love is about kakha kakha. Its really beautiful, entertaining and enjoyable film.
