After being shot while calling for help trying to stop a violent attack on his high school girl, a 16 year old boy awakens from a coma to discover that fragments of his smart phone have embedded in his brain, giving him superhero powers. He uses this knowledge and technology to exact revenge on the gang responsible for the attack.
While iBoy is congruent with recent Marvel Super Power heroes, the film is uniquely British in both style and production. iBoy's elements combine to create a film worth watching.

iBoy springs from the hand of Joe Barton who has worked on several episodes of Humans (an adaptation of the Swedish production : Äkta människor / Real Humans), as well as on an episode of the police drama Cuffs. This and his other work obviously supported an excellent script for iBoy whose greatest challenge appears to be sourced in the directing. However, I predict that if this writing and directing partnership continues, the casting and directing in future productions will improve.

For science fiction and action hero fans, this is a film worth viewing and hoping that more such films are produced. The movie iBoy is a Science-Fiction-Thriller based on the same novel from Kevin Brooks. It is about the teenagers Tom Harvey (Bill Milner) and Lucy Walker (Maisie Williams) who live in an estate called Crow Lane or Crow Town.

Tom is shot in his head, by which he gets a brain injury, while he is holding his Iphone on his head. Through this some parts of his phone enter his brain. Result of this are some superpowers, with which he can visit the internet in his mind or trace some SMS. With those powers, he gets to know that Lucy, with who he is in love, was raped by some members of a Gang in Crow Town. Now he would like to exercise revenge, but however, comes out about his aim.

The film has some good soundtracks and a good setting. The actors, Maisie Williams and Bill Milner, make a good job in this film and also the other actors perform well. On account of the subject of revenge and technology, it is a recommendable film, especially because of the modern elements and the plot.

In my opinion, the film is a well-made Science-Fiction-Thriller with great effects, with a good plot and great actors. I really recommend this film for every teenager but also for families. iBoy is a fully charged superhero tale that soon overcomes its admittedly ludicrous premise.
