Getting a refund,

The game is extremely blurry. There are almost no graphical options to speak off. And the game forces Anti Aliasing which is horrible for VR.

Game play is really bad to be honest.

Please let me know, is it just me ? Anti Aliasing makes the game look like the clarity has been cut in half for me. i tryed to turn it off Nvidia drivers, but for some reason it did not work.

Anyway:

Graphics: 3 out 10 because everything was so blurry. even with the supper-sampling up to 180% it was still blurry.
Controls: 2 out of 10. Smooth locomotion is horrible. You have to press the touch pad and about 2 seconds later your character lurches forward. And you move so slow i could not believe it.
Gameplay: i only had 1 fight with the first enemy and it felt very bad. Skyrim felt a bit better in melee combat actually.
Motion sickness: this is the first game that does smooth locomotion so wrong i actually felt something unpleasant. i'be been playing VR games for 3 years and played all the games that usually create motion sickness, and i never felt anything, until this game. Not even sure what's wrong.... i think the character has a strange acceleration when walking.

Do not buy.

. Just got decent so far graphics nice.playing on oculus is weird. Weapons dont fit with controller making this game almost unplayable. Example the mace is held coming out like a gun aswell as sword. Shield is nice. All weapons come out like a pointer level.3 out 5 as of now fix the noted problems. 4. let me say first off that i was not expecting to like this game. when i miss a vr game like this i assume its for a reason.
but never the less i bought it and im glad i did.
lets start with the pros;
1X. controls are here, smooth loco and smooth turning, a few options.
1. good visual style with a nice scary-ish setting. not neccisarily horror but dark and moody.
2.alchemist system is great. you pick up items and they return to your secret room, which im guessing there is a few of these rooms. i have seen one.
3. lots of craftable potions and gem like spells, i was surprised at the depth.
4. inventory system and several weapons.
5. cool weapon degrade system that actually breaks shields in mid battle, forcing you to use other weapons,

now for the cons: also these play off the above pros respectively
1X. controls are cumbersome, the inventory is a button click and a wheel spin. why this wasnt a good inventory like a backpack i do not know. also instead of pressing grab to hold an item you click trigger, to drop or unequip you double tap grip button, heres where the issues appear. controls are just too clunky and finger aching, it could have been simple, grab item off belt with grip and when you let go it drops or equips into your sheath, the wheel would just put items onto your hips, or use another method for weapon selecting.
1.while things do look good, there are some anomolys where lag occurs during fights, not all the time but some, and some graphics issues in general,
2.alchemist system should have a pouch or backpack that you put items in. then you pull the items out at a crafting station. it would have made it so much better than double clicking drop and it teleports to crafting area.
3.lots of potions yes, but you basically toss them to the ground. this works, no real gripes here, they could improve it by making the items actual things like the healing rock thing could be a potion you drink ect.
4.i think we covered inventory so lets move on to weapons. the weapons on oculus are just off. they tilt down at a angle and your hands dissapear when grabbing them, annoying to say the least.
combat suffers similiarly, while there are good ideas for the combat and sometimes it does work decently, it just has not physical bearing, meaning weapons slide through enemys and if you turn health bars off its hard to tell when your actually hitting them or missing or blocking. then theres some clearer issues but overall its not to much of a waggler.
5. the degrading of weapons is a good idea, i just wish that if you had a inventory like a backpack, that you could grab multiples of a items and basically use them like in the new legend of zelda game. basically the item degrades and breaks and you toss it, at that point you grab a new one, or unequip it before it breaks and repair it at a station.

this said i know i have alot of feedback here, and considering the game isnt that old i wish they would rectify some of these issues, and make the game better, that said even with the shiz controls, i still loved the gameplay loop of fight, collect loot, heal and repair, move on and repeat. they do some things right and the environment makes for a good first time playthrough. if you catch it on sale i for sure reccomend you pick it up. i paid 6 dollars or so and it was a pleasant surprise, even with the issues mentioned. while im tempted to give a thumbs down to encourage the dev to fix the issues, i have to give them a thumbs up for actually doing it better than alot of other vr titles. still i would wait for a sale.. *Update - No signs of updates in the last 9 months... Decent game for 2016... But outdated now...

I purchased for the beauty, but it lacks finesse. I would understand if it was early access, but it isn't. Debating if I should request a refund... 20 minutes in and I don't really want to play any further. I'll probably hang on to it hoping it will improve, since it was on sale.
Recommendations:
Haptic Feedback on interactions\\collision with walls, enemies and items...
Proper orientation from controllers to hands, weapons, shields, other items... (My in-game hands are not in the orientation of my hands on the controller, The sword is twisted weird and it feels like I'm gripping the shield's arm strap instead of the handle.
In game menu system needs improvement, maybe quick item options. I have to press 6 buttons or more to re-equip sword and shield.
Improve Story line, I'm not quire sure what was going on, not enough substance for me to care...
Fighting was bland, I felt like i was fighting a gumba with a 2x4. (VR combat is tough to dev, I hope to see improvements!)
I had high hopes, but at this point I can't recommend it.. Pros:
- Devs dedication to updating and adding content
- The graphics are beautiful!!! Incredible lighting and attention to detail. Ran at max setting on one GTX 1080 ti and i7-7700k with no overclocking......zero issues
- Dark grindgy Atmostphere.....like a dungeon should be
- Enemy Variations
- Multiple weapons
- Sword and Board gameplay
- Battle is intense / heart pumping.....especially in 3v1 + battles
- Controls are easy to learn and you adapt quickly......or die ha
- Magic.....multiple spells to cast during battle....attacks, shields, health potions, etc.
- Decent length game......I of course wish it was longer but I got more then they stated I would get

Cons:
- Movement speed. I prefer free locomotion over teleport and it is very slow in this game. I wish there was a sprint button
- You have to get used to swinging your weapons slower and not going crazy. Some might not like this (reason I list as a con) but I personally think it adds a "virtual weighty feel" to the weapons. Brings out a more natual swing and not just flailing your arms
- Enemy AI is not that smart. You can easily see, time, and block their attacks in 1v1 and even 2v1

All in all I really enjoyed this game. The game never locked up or game me any issues. The Dungeon Crawler feel was absolutely amazing and I can't express how good it looks graphically. I wish it was a little longer but it was still great. 10/10 would recomment to anyone that likes sword figting, spells, and dungeon crawling type games.. This is one of the best looking VR games out there. The feeling of being inside a dungeon is awesome. Sound effects are good. The title screen music is hypnotic, I can stay at that screen for several minutes just watching the dungeon entrance and enjoying the beautiful song (wish it wasn't so short!). Combat is Ok. No problem whatsoever with motion sickness. Some say locomotion is slow, I think it's adecuate for this game (you don't have vast lands, it's not Skyrim!).

A few cons:
* I don't like jump scares in this kind of game, leave those to dedicated horror games, I think of this game more like an adventure/RPG, the atmosphere is already creepy and that's enough to keep you alert, but that's just my opinion. (I know, I know... I read the description ;)
* I find the little floating spheres in the title screen distracting, I would remove them; however, water dripping is excellent for immersion.
* Inventory management is not bad, but it could be polished, it feels clumsy to change weapons during combat.
* I agree with other reviewers that weapons/items should collide with ALL objects (doors, cell bars, tables, walls, etc.) and not just pass through them.
* There's a spelling mistake in the spell book: Sulur instead of Sulfur.

Those cons are minor compared to the "enjoyability" of this game, I hope the devs expand this one and later make a follow up with outdoor exploration. Games like this are like a stepping stone for VR gaming.

Don't hesitate and grab this one, totally recommend it!
