MarzGurl Productions presents "Saraba/Farewell, FamiKamen Rider," the thrilling conclusion to the story authored by the late Justin Carmical. After a massive fight in Canada, the FamiKamen Rider has gone missing in action, leaving his transformation belt behind and his cartridge vanished. In the aftermath of the battle, a new enemy appears, seeking out the power of the FamiKamen Rider for himself. For three years, MarzGurl has kept the transformation belt safe from enemy hands. Her search for the missing cartridge proves futile, until Chris, a rare video game collector, stumbles upon the cartridge by chance. Not knowing what he has found, Chris's curiosity makes him a target for this new evil. As he learns about the history of the FamiKamen Rider, with the additional support of an old friend and a new hero, it is up to MarzGurl and Chris to make the journey to find answers, confront their own fears, and stop this new threat before it is too late.
I have only seen a few of Justin Carmical's videos such as his "I like Candy" and "You can play this". I haven't seen much of his FamiKamen videos, though.

Originally he was going to star in this movie, but due his death, Kaylyn and Josh re-wrote the story.

It is a very dialogue heavy movie, with very little action much like a Kevin Smith or Tarantino film. So, it does get a little boring in the first hour.

But when the action finally happens after that hour, they're very satisfying. The fight scenes are well edited, done with zooming in on the characters as they fight. The climax of the movie is also good and quite emotional as well.

The acting is not that great, but then the people who star in this are really just YouTubers and internet reviewers.

The jokes are hit and miss. Some are good, others are lame.

But is this movie a big "Up yours" to Sega, though?

Overall, it's an alright film. Worth watching if you like either Marzgurl or Jew Wario. While I never met the man, I've heard from a lot of people that Justin Carmical, a.k.a JewWario, was a very nice guy. He had a passion for games, Japanese stuff and candy and I can respect that. I liked his movie reviews and the cameos he did in various reviews and skits by the TGWTG crew back in the day. And then, a couple years back, he shot himself.

It was a sobering thought as he never showed this online but then what we see more often than not is just a character. One project he was working on before he died was making a movie about his character "FamiKamen Rider". It was something that I probably wouldn't have watched had it not been connected to Justin. So when I heard that Kaylyn a.k.a MarzGurl had picked up the project and had completed it as a tribute to Justin I was hopeful. She'd take the elements that he himself had filmed, film around him possibly using a Fake Shemp or just have some guy in a FamiKamen Rider costume and that would be that.

What instead we got was Kaylyn herself as the titular star, other people I didn't recognize, archive footage of Justin and some nameless people in FamiKamen Rider outfits doing sentai stuff.

It was a severe let down. I've made no secret that I find Kaylyn can't act. She's downright terrible. Every line is given the most obvious and fake sentiment. It's not natural. It's how non-actors attempt to "act". You can get away with things like that on stage. You can't get away with it on film.

In the end, I just gave up halfway. It was a loving send off and I'm sure Justin would have appreciated it. Problem is, there wasn't enough there to hold interest or keep others from just switching it off.
