Deeply ensconced in a top-secret military program, three pilots struggle to bring an artificial intelligence program under control before it initiates the next world war.
In the near future, the Navy develops a fighter jet piloted by an artificial intelligence computer. The jet is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat manuevers from the human pilots aboard. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, it's the humans who are charged with stopping it before it incites a war...
Three ace pilots have been picked by the US Navy in "the near future" to combat terrorism. However, there is a catch, the addition to their team is an artificially intelligent prototype plane.

This is pretty much the base plot of "Stealth," and honestly, that's all you really need to know. I didn't bother learning any of the characters' names, because they aren't really necessary. There are a whole lot of things in this movie that aren't really necessary, such as a scene that takes place in the Philippines, or three naval pilots in full uniform, dancing in an underground club. Having one of the pilots turn on a dime from hating the machine to being buddies with it is unnecessary. Having the machine blast the same song over and over again so that the enemies can hear is unnecessary.

Jamie Foxx's acting is pretty decent, but I could tell that he was just doing this for the paycheck... I've seen you in Ray, Jamie! I know you can do better! Also, without getting too spoilery, people who will come to see Jamie Foxx will be slightly disappointed.

Normally I gauge movies by the number of times I look at my watch. Not looking at my watch at all means the movie has my full, undivided attention. Looking at my watch once means the movie is slightly off in certain areas. Twice, and the movie is in trouble. I not only looked at my watch three times, but I entertained the idea of getting up and going to the bathroom, something I tend to reserve for movies that are truly awful, which this one isn't.

There are lots of explosions, there are lots of cool dogfight scenes, the planes look cool enough for any kid that wants it as a toy, but all this alone do not a great movie make. All in all, it just has a lot of style and not a lot of substance. My advice to any serious moviegoer is to save the $7-10, wait for it to come on HBO, and spend that money on Chinese take-out. The trailer but horrendous movie.

The plot is inconnex and shallow and uses old TOP-GUN clichés about women behavior.

It is irritating the view Hollywood producers have about the rest of the world. Not every country difficult to locate on the map is living in the Middle Ages, do not have laws, law enforcement and so.

Also, even due to mistake, accident or warfare, because an American ends up in a foreign country, US should not have the right to enter, bomb, kill and come back as heroes as they erased a few locals that are unaware, innocent and guarding their own homeland.

Really, a total pass. A sort of retarded "Top Gun," Rob Cohen's Stealth revisits the world of cocky fighter pilots and war games turned real, but it has some serious moral quandaries on the brain, and too much thinking gets it into trouble.
Their is no official service wide policy in effect in peacetime. Whether or not officers and enlisted personnel wear dress uniform, uniform of the day or civilian clothing to frequent bars and nighclubs while overseas and off duty. Then it is always up to the discretion of the commanding officer of each command/unit/ship/submarine to set forth the uniform of the day requirements regarding how service members will be attired while off duty and mixing with the local civilian population. Keep in mind that whenever in uniform American service members are representing their nation and should always be on their best behavior. While stationed in the USA then uniform requirements are often relaxed for local commands including those stationed in Alaska and Hawaii. For naval personnel, dress whites are always difficult to keep clean the majority of the time.
