This is only a first impressions based review, because I've only made it to the second level of this game. I loved the first America's Retribution, and so far, I'm really liking Term 2. The controls feel good, I love the weapons and I love all the references to everything that surrounded the 2016 American Presidential election and onward from there. Whenever I beat this game, I will update this review accordingly. Bottom line: This game, as well as the first one, are worth buying and playing (at least one playthru).. Everything is improved over the first game and the references and gags are hilarious. Leave your safe space, because this game can offer quite a challenge! If you grew up loving games like Mega Man, Metal Slug, Contra or Gunstar Heroes then this is right up your ally. If you love OR hate Trump, you will enjoy this!

(Ed is also a great developer that listens to his fans. I emailed him about a glitch that appeared immediately after completing the game; within an hour he fixed it and the update was already available on Steam!). Loved the original, and this one blows it away! I have only made it to that worthless "Hogg" so far, but just getting started! Great game, packed to the gills with mematic epicness. ~shadilay. If you like the old style console games like Contra, Gunstar Heroes, Joe and Mac you will like this game. If you like Trump, you will love this game. What ever the case may be this is a fun game. I have played a lot of 2D shooting games and what makes this game stand out is the funny political satire that comes with playing the game. Every so often you are treated to a funny video that pokes fun of the situation you are in.

GRAPHICS - 8\/10
The graphics reminds me of games from the SNES. I will be honest, I feel like some of the art seems to be from the original console games. But, altered enough to avoid copyright infringement. Sometimes it feels like I'm playing diffent games because of the graphics used. But, the rest of the art is nice and funny. Especially when it pokes fun of certain topics. The visual is nice and the game doesn't feel like empty. There is lot of visuals to see and enjoy.

AUDIO - 9.5\/10
From the music, sound effects, and vocals. Everything seemed to click just right. I enjoyed the audio tremendously. Especially when you shoot the enemy and they let out a death scream. The reason it's not a perfect score is because of the lack of Audio Settings which I believe they should have in future installments.

PLAYABILITY - 9.5\/10
This is a fun game. From the story to the enemies and the challenge. It has been a fun ride. I'm still playing the game and will continue because I have this deficit I need to pay down that the game reminds me constantly. The politics makes the game interesting - especially for Trump Fans. But, even if they change the theme to something not political satire. This is a very solid 2D shooting game! It has everything you want in a shooting game if not more. -- However some game elements need to be tweaked a bit, this is a damn good game.

OVERALL - 8.8\/10
I like this game a lot it gives me great nostalgia and somehow keeps it modern. There are a few things that keep it from being perfect and that would be: Lack of audio and control setting. Background Graphics need to match the Theme. For the price this is game that keeps on giving.
