About This Game

A Long Road Home is a point and click adventure game, created in a top down, 2D perspective. The gameplay harkens back to the adventure games of old, with lots of text descriptions, puzzle solving and item usage.

The Story

A Long Road Home puts players in the role of a young man who becomes wounded and separated from his family when they are attacked along the way to their new home. Behind this plot is a secret cult led by a nefarious being, who is able to travel between the infinite numbers of planes (dimensions). Having conquered numerous worlds already, she now has her sights set on this one, and aims to use our hero for her own devious ends. If the protagonist is to reunite with his mother and sister, he must venture through catacombs, secret temples and frozen mountains while escaping the clutches of the evil invaders.

I feel this is sort of a hidden gem. It was strangely enjoyable, with pretty good puzzles and a really great soundtrack, really worth its price!. This is a very good game. Good story, easy to use interface. Well worth 99 cents, maybe even twice that. Not more than twice, but maybe twice. <3 Good work mate.. For a first game from an small dev, it's a pretty swell point-and-click adventure. Takes about 5 to 6 hours to complete. The puzzles made sense - I only got stuck a few times due to missing an item or conversation earlier. I enjoyed learning the lore and how the bad guys were portrayed. The item combining system was a bit of a hassle to use.

All in all, I consider it money well spent, and look forward to seeing what One Bit Studio will do next.. Nice game with challenging puzzles and an interesting story. Worth the price.. i was pleasantly surprised by this game. liking the story so far, and most of the puzzles are intersting, although i had to look up some of the solutions in the walthrough.

but the best thing is the soundtrack, the tracks are absolutely fantastic, they provide a great atmosphere.

if i had to choose a negative, it is the lack of proper proofreading, I encountered a few strange english sentences which should be fixed.. I named him "Gash" because of the gash on his head in the beginning. It was that or Barfolewmew. I think Gash sounds cooler. Good game.
