I have a glorious '69 Princeton Reverb with a 12" speaker in it, but I used to own a '66 non-reverb Princeton with the original 10" Jensen, and it was a wonderful amp. Sure, all by itself a 12" speaker might sound better, particularly down low, but in a band mix, I find tens often have much superior cut and clarity. Sometimes, less is more! Another vote for the Princeton. Or how about its big brother the Deluxe Reverb reissue? I don't want to throw more choices at you, but the Deluxe Reverb can be tame enough for home use, yet keep up with a band if you ever get the chance. Best of both worlds. And it has the classic Fender reverb that you want. Fender's '65 Princeton Reverb "Fudge Brownie" FSR looks as delectable as it sounds, with the distinctive look of rich brown textured vinyl covering, wheat grille cloth and a brown control panel. With 12 watts of power and a single 10" Jensen speaker, it's easily versatile enough to go from the '65 Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue Vs. '68 Custom Princeton Reverb-which one to get? Discussion in 'Amps I found myself ampless and was looking to get another '65 Princeton RI but found a good deal on the '68 Custom Princeton and grabbed it. 65 TWIN REVERB REISSUE (This is the model name for warranty claims) SERVICE MANUAL MARCH 1991 IMPORTANT NOTICE: The information contained herein is CONFIDENTIAL and PROPRIETARY to Fender Musical Instruments Corp. But perhaps the most magical thing of all was the release of the Fender Princeton Reverb, an amp that has been reissued so we can all enjoy a little piece of the past. I recently settled on trading my Tweed Deluxe clone for a Princeton Reverb 68 Cusom (Silverface). I was originally trying to find a Princeton Reverb 65 Reissue but the 68 Custom appeared first. At 12 watts it's a bit more quiet than I'd hoped, with clean headroom building to overdrive at the volume of which I'd still prefer to play clean. Rating and Reviews: Fender '65 Princeton Amp. A faithful recreation
