required native extension is missing. all of a sudden i cannot play this game\/. reinstlling doesn't fix this.. nice retro style game. From when I first found this game on multiple flash gaming sites when I was younger, I fell in love with the atmosphere immediately. So great that years later I had to invest in this experience out of many other Pixeljam games. Even though the game hadn't made any significant changes at all since the first release, it was still a general fun time.. Great little shooter game fun while it lasts and quite fair. However the length of the game compounded by its rigid level structure leave it with relatively minimal replayability. I think the best comparison i can make is 5 gum, its amazing for a short period before becoming very bland quite suddenly. Dont get me wrong, this is one of my favorite games from my childhood but its just not big enough. 7.5\/10. Some people may remember this was a flash game way back in the day. If you at all remember that game, this is an updated version which as of review will get more updates in the future.

This is a very fun shootemup\/twin stick shooter, The game has a very nice sound track with great sound effects that match the games simple pixel feel. The game play is a bit like robotron, use WASD to move and arrowkeys to shoot. The game has lots of different types of enemies, bosses, asteroid fields. All a lot of fun.

The cool thing about this game though is the actual Gamma Bros, the two main pilots you play as throughout the game. You can switch between them every now and then when one of them flies across the screen, which gives the game a sort of tactical feel making sure you use a different ship when one Gamma Bro gets low on health. Each ship has their own health, but powerups and new weapons are transfered over between the bros. If one of the Bros ship blows up, they will fly in a jetpack, you move a bit faster but have much less health. And if they die as far as I know they are dead forever.

You can also buy upgrades everynow and then when a little ship flies by, thats why I love this game everything is seemless with no menus as soon as you start the game your right in the action.

The game has a lot of potential to be better, I'm happy to see it being worked on and will get more content. And for the $5 price, if you love these kinds of games you'll get your money's worth. Great game.. I first played this in its original form on the website miniclip.com<\/a> about 8 years ago, now that it has come to steam the delay and responsiveness is improved but the gameplay has not really changed over the course of its development.

Regardless this is still a very solid shooter for a fantastic price, and did I mention it has a great soundtrack?. According to Gamma Bros' steam page it's been out for nearly two years now in this state, so I can't be confident that anything is going to change for a considerable amount of time.

For that reason I wouldn't reccomend spending money on this (a game that used to be free) until the price goes down or it's on sale or they actually update it... (which they probably won't). I have known about this game for years and now it's finally on steam. I've always loved it, its music, pixel art, and somewhat retro vibe. It's decently challenging for newcomers and gets tougher.

Hello Testers,

This is a small update and announcment.

So first here is the update log:

Shooting while reloading fixed
New Textures an now in game (2/3)
Start Weapon has now a diffrent name and deals more damage but also can not be combined with the normal m4a1 outside the spawn room.

So the announcement is that this sunday their will be no update.

Hi,

Just some minor changes today.

Fixes:
Fixed clinet couldn't hear the wave begin sound
Fixed client couldn't hear the weapo sounds from the host

Changes:
You now got only 30hp which will regen over time, so if you get hit once you will have to wait 5 seconds but if you get hit twice you will have to wait 10 seconds for recovery, this change were neccessary to implement new perks which will affect you hp in the future, also the hp you get for the perk and you have normaly will be configurable in the future.

Hello Testers,
yeah you heared right Multiplayer is on his way. As maybe some of you know we had multiplayer in before, but because of problems with new versions and because of crashes we had to remove it.

But know its back , well at least a little bit. So now you can walk around with you friends and get chased by zombies (just tested with 2 Players).
But the host ist the only one yet who can kill the zombies but the others can farm money.
Also you have to alt + f4 when yo want to leave but this will be addressed soon.

So have fun with this update.

Hi again,

This time we made some adjustments which will be available in the pretesting branch before they go live. If you want to play this, you just have to enter the pretesting beta in steam by right clicking the game go to settings and choose the pretesting beta.

Now to what those adjustments are.

Switched female (Only player model) to a new male model with a face and a hand.
Changed camera postiton
Changed weapon location when you holding them (Not perfect yet)
Added tutorial text to the main menu
Fixed the bug that the zombies can't go in to the white houses
