In The Chemist, working hard and managing your resources well is as important as making the right decisions about your life and your work. Making the best out of the contracts and the resources available to you, you’ll find yourself creating recipes for all sorts of different liquids and finding answers to your questions like “what would happen if my fruit soda could also be used as a soap?”. As you get more and more famous, certain companies with grand plans for the world may start watching your steps - should you choose to deal with them, you’ll witness the results of your actions shape the world. And whenever the stress becomes too much to bear, you can always throw around some flasks and watch them shatter to pieces; or just take out the trash. It’s good for your soul. Bad for paying the rent.

Mix and earn: Choose from hundreds of different contracts, be it an AC cleaner or a soy sauce recipe, and progress through the story as you make both a living and a name for yourself.

There are also some...particularly shady concoctions that you can make a huge profit from. If you're the risky type, try to master the dark side of chemistry right down in your basement!

For a game in early access, it is highly addictive: It is easy to lose hours while trying to do stupid mix (have you ever tried making ice cream from ammoniac because it increase the caracteristics you want? This game let you try that kind of things and so much more.

Now, I must try to make tasty detergent, high density lemonade or even toxic tomato soup for the fun of getting the comments once submitted :). Really been enjoying the game so far. Its fun seeing how different combinations of chemicals into contracts further effects them. For instance making a tasty baby oil has some negative effects, once the product goes to market. Look forward to see what the developer does with the future of this game.. Frankly, it's not an awful premise, and it can even be kind of fun developing one's own mixtures (even if there is nothing affirming the enjoyment of having made hallucinogenic, organic ginger ale).

That being said, the controls are both clunky and buggy, the game isn't *near* polished, and it's been abandoned for a year now. One dev apparently mentioned a to do list sometime last September, but well, I wouldn't hold out hope.

Only buy it on the very cheap.. Amazing game, I just wish it were more optimised for Intel because that's my primary graphics manufacturer. Otherwise, just another great black market chemistry game (the only one.). the game is dead I was told they were still working on it that was almost a year ago. Hilarious. Nothing beats coming home after a long day of being a chemist, and become a virtual chemist, smashing flasks against walls and making flammable pheromone coffee and pouring it on your face. Excellent.. I encounter a bug in sandbox mode where I um unable to spawn chemicals i buy even when i have the money

Takes away the fun. I like the concept an i hope for new management features!
