From the opening moments of this game, I didn't care for what I was seeing. And that feeling didn't let up. It wasn't long before I couldn't take any more. Writers sometimes say that a good editor editor will cut out the third of the manuscript that's just chaff. This game was in dire need of such an editor, both for the cinematics and for the dialog. Cinematics in this game quickly wander to places that do nothing to further the story. Dialogue keeps talking for too long.and, worse yet, seems to think it's funny or clever when it's pretentious and abrasive. The most likeable character that I encountered is the old man who died a few minutes into the game. (Or rather, 'into the opening cinematics,' as I'm pretty sure I'd yet to take control of a character at that point.) The 'dude' who's apparently the main character? I want nothing to do with him, his soul patch, or his 'I sass the elderly' way of life. And dude's girlfriend is even more of an enigma: At one point, she was talking to the old man I mentioned above, and I thought that the chipper, friendly delivering of her voice acting was at complete odds with her scowly, b***hface demeanor. Then I remembered that the people who made this game had fit in some CG side-boob of hers in an earlier cinematic. So there you have it: She's in this game to be side-boob. Side-boob who plays the apologist for her 'sassy dude' boyfriend. Sounds like a hell of a relationship there, girl. Seriously, what a freaking abomination of a game. Whoever worked on this, I hope you leave the industry. What you made was terrible. Irredeemably terrible. Now here's the biggest mystery, to me: I apparently bought this game several years back but didn't play it. Why? There's a demo available now. Was it not available at the time? Did I not have a chance to see what a steaming pile this game is? And how much did I pay for this? Was it more than $0.50? Becuase if it was, then I'm going to have to re-think my approach to life of "if it's cheap, I'll give it a whirl" and possibly lower the threshold to a quarter or less.. Studio took a real downhill drop on this game, after compleating the first then the second no rewords for beating it at all and they give total destruction to the thirds story before it starts. story its self is good but the voice acting, and facial expression is cringeworthy. the other games were better.. Some items and solutions are completely unrelated. The story does not end within the game. This should have been labeled as PART 1 ONLY.. A fantastic adventure series with an excellent storyline thats a nice challenge, make sure to play all three in order for continuity.. As an point&click avg game fan i do play them with walkthrough the whole time just for the story. But conversations in this game areare really long and boring. Occasional crashes without autosave stopped me at chapter 4 can't go through all the tedious again.So just for the story i'll finish watching this game on YouTube.
