About This Game

The events unfolding in the FEAREA universe tell about the space colonial war of various galactic civilizations. Large factions that are away from the war supply and develop various military equipment, supply ammunition, and sell private armies for rent the most powerful faction - the San Convention - so named for the native system - the Sun. The fleet of the Convention, together with the allies, is defending the frontiers of both civilizations.

In addition to space battles, the war for the planets goes on the planets themselves, where the military force is an organization that is respected in all factions - the League of Сondottiere.



Condottierе - experienced military professionals who have their own ships. They buy military vehicles and test it in training battles on planetary and space ranges. The main customer of the condottieres is the San Convention Command, which regularly holds tenders and announces orders. Only the best are allowed to participate, so fierce competition among the condottieres continues.

All condottieres for serious profit do the work in which to use the official army is inconvenient, politically unprofitable or just too long. Therefore, secret military operations are a major source of income for a condottiere.

A frustrating experience. I know early access games are not the final product, but the problems I faced shouldn't have even made it past internal testing. I would write bug reports for this, but that would involve spending more time typing up bug reports than I have been able to spend in actual gameplay.

I attempted to start up the game for the first time and was greeted with an error message with buttons saying "Download" and "Quit" without giving me any cursor to interact with the buttons. After forcing the game to close and starting it back up, I was greeted by the same error screen with a blurred background behind it. Over the top of the error screen was an option to play the tutorial.

I attempted to play the tutorial and suddenly found my movement locked due to some oddity in the terrain. Unable to progress, I closed the game again. I could not find any option to restart the tutorial after that. And the error screen was back, but eventually the regular main menu loaded in. The vehicle art in the middle of the screen was blurred out until I navigated to the vehicle select menu.

I decided to just start a normal game and figure it out. As it turns out, the primary weapon on the tank I picked did NOTHING except go on cooldown when fired. No visual, no damage, nothing but a cooldown.

After getting frustrated, I restarted the game again. The error screen was back. I switched to a mech, hoping its weapons would work and started queueing up for another game only for it to crash immediately.

What little gameplay I was able to experience wasn't particularly interesting, either.. You want a game where developers really listen their community?
You want a game where a friendly community?

Well FeArea is all that, and I guarantee that if you are a sci-fi fan then this game is the absolutely perfect. There's a reason why this game has so much respect in the gaming community. Definitely give it a shot!. I recieved this for free.

It has potential. I really enjoyed the game with a friend for a bit, messing around and trying out the different vehicles on offer. I tried:

The Hunter (Rover)
The Thor (Tank)
The Desert Slayer (Tank)
The Raptor (Robot)

Playing the Raptor felt like I was playing Mechassault again, an old game from my OG Xbox days. While only one gun per vehicle, with two abilities, was a bit lacking to me, I still quite enjoyed the gameplay. The Raptor was excellent for base attacks, but that brings up my cons. While the graphics could use some work, and while the effects need tweaking (Playing the Desert Slayer, the biggest tank, it didn't FEEL like I was a lumbering behemoth. Felt like I was a giant tank with a peashooter, for example) all of these can be forgiven as they are in Early Access.

The biggest issue my friend and I encountered was lag. Not graphics lag, but server lag. Rubberbanding was terrible, and I at one point just sat at my base as a stationary turret because I couldn't move.

The game has great potential, but if the lag isn't focused on to provide a smooth game experience, I cannot see it getting far.

Fix the lag and start fleshing out the rest, and this can become a very enjoyable game. If the lag isn't addressed, then it won't get very far.. This game can be very interesting.
I like this style very much.
Let's see when they come out of early access.. no. this game is wrong. i've been sure when i took just one step at tutorial. it would not make.

Patch 1.0.0.20a in which included the following changes:

Fixed errors matchmaking, as a result of which low-level players entered into battle with high-level opponents. Now the right to dominate the opponents must be proved in honest battle.
Added even more in-game achievements. They warm the soul and positively influence karma - it’s time to continue collecting them!

New test mechanics of plasma shields protecting the base. As well as it is necessary to a decent security system, energy shields now don’t pass enemy equipment. They can be turned off by massive fire, but after a short time the generators will reboot and the shields will work again. Hurry to blow up the enemy base!

The citadel is protected! The main building of the base was given a defensive weapon, and now it can shoot back from the aggressors.

Overall technics control is improved: passability of wheeled and caterpillar vehicles, the sudden stop of crawler vehicles.

Improved weapon guidance system.

The laser weapon auto-aim system is disconnected.

Fixed a bug that couldn’t undo the search for a fight.

The system of selection of players in the match has been revised.

Added new hangars.

Fixed bug causing the client to hang.
